Marta looks after a herd of more than 300 cows of the native Catalan Albera breed that graze freely in the Mediterranean mountains of the Baussitges estate, in the Albera Natural Park. The herd is the last remaining of this breed in danger of extinction, which is beginning to recover thanks to the Baussitges Association of Friends of the Albera Cow, promoted by Marta. It is an agile breed adapted to the environment, which grazes strategic forests in an area with a high risk of fires.
