Armand has always been a cattle breeder. His herd has grazed in a large part of the country, from Cerdanya, where he is from, to the mountains of Prades, passing through the Pallars. He has been one of the main promoters of protection dogs in herds, and he also dedicates part of his professional activity to the training of these companion animals for lambing purposes. Armand is also very active in awareness-raising, dissemination and research activities related to silvopasture.
Although he has been a transhumant shepherd for many years, he is currently established in the Prades Mountains with his herd, which he would consider expanding if the state of the forests in the massif would allow him to access it safely. Armand believes in the Ramats de Foc project because, as he says, it can allow him to improve the visibility of the profession and the work of the shepherds, as well as to continue fighting for a fair income and for sustainable forest management adapted to the needs of the massif.
